Post Grad Year at RPS

Information about the PG program at RPS.

The Post Graduate Year is for students who are new to Rock Point School.  PG Year students have graduated from high school but  could use another year to strengthen academic and personal skills.  They will benefit from extra time to be better prepared for all of the challenges of college?  PG students participate in the full Rock Point program, inside and outside the classroom.  PG students will be an integral part of the tight-knit Rock Point community.  They study alongside our 12th grade class, whose curriculum includes: college-prep English, U.S. History 2, Evolution & the Environment, Math, Art, and PE. They participate in all the weekend activities, including skiing and snowboarding; hiking; art and music offerings in downtown Burlington, Vermont; trips to Boston and Montreal; whitewater rafting; community service projects; and much more. Motivated, responsible students can work with their advisor to explore local college offerings (including a free “Intro to College Studies” at Community College), internships, and job opportunities.
