Admissions Process
Step One: Gather information
Take a close look at our web site. If, after looking at the web site you are interested in getting more information on the school, call us for an informational admissions packet. We can be reached at 802-863-1104.
Step Two: Call to speak with Hillary Kramer, the Admissions Director
Call and speak to me directly about your situation and what you are looking for. This can happen when you call for an admissions packet, or if you like, you can wait until you have reviewed the admissions packet to give me a call. I can be reached at (802) 863-1104, ext. 12.
Step Three: Make a formal application
Please fill out our RPS Application and return it with the requested documentation, such as the Release of Information Form, a complete transcript, and copies of any appropriate testing.
Step Four: Schedule an interview, informational tour, or extended visit
Please call to schedule a time to visit and have an interview. It is very helpful for me to have most of your application before the interview. Interviews generally last three hours. Some people will request a chance to come for an informational tour of the school before a formal interview. Informational tours last between one and two hours. Sometimes it is clear that a three hour visit will not be enough time to really get to know the student and for the student to get to know our program fully. In these cases, we will schedule an extended interview, typically lasting between two and three days. During an extended interview, students will visit from 7:30 am until 8:00pm each day, participating in our full program and returning to a local hotel with their parents in the evening.
Step Five: An admissions decision is made
Generally, an admissions decision is made within one to two weeks after receiving the application and having the interview.
Step Six: If a student is accepted or wait listed
If a student is accepted then we will need a signed tuition contract and deposit as soon as possible to reserve the space. If a student is wait-listed, then the student and family will be contacted as soon as a space opens up.
