"There is an old map of the Rock Point property down at the conference center. I saw it when I stayed there for parents' weekend, and thought about going for a short walk to explore. The map marks several places on the property as "a sacred place." I was amused and puzzled by that denotation. At graduation, I realized that Rock Point School is a place where young people can feel safe enough and nurtured in a way that allows them to find within themselves what is good and pure and life-affirming. That is why it is a "sacred" place." - Lynn Dunn, parent of a graduate of 2003.
"I feel thankful for my time at Rock Point School. It has given my life a sense of direction. I've been able to experience many things that I would not have had I stayed at home." - Mike Purmell, senior, class of 2005.
"Rock Point is amazing! Students come here to find their path in life, and in the process find themselves. Rock Point isn’t magical; you get out what you put in. And at a place that is so nurturing, with such great staff and close interactions with peers, becoming the person you want to be happens as you live your daily life."
- Pamela Rae, senior, class of 2005
"Rock Point has the ability to take a teenager and lead them from where they are and who they are gently and carefully, but in a very structured way, in a direction that enables the student to be who they want to be." - Parent, Fairfax, VA.
