When John Rouleau first arrived at Rock Point School in the early 70's, it was to teach music to the girls in the evenings, he then moved into the building with his family to work as a dorm staff, then he became the science teacher, the breakfast cook and the man who kept things in order when they got unruly.  Eventually this peace keeping turned into a position as Assistant Headmaster.  In 1993 he became Headmaster.

During his time at the school he has been a visionary, guiding the school through changes, difficult times, triumphs and times of sadness.  The school's demographic has changed and there have been many improvements to the academic and residential programs but the important principles and the heart of the community have stayed the same - Do for others, take care of the building and of the school, always be curious and never be afraid to speak your opinion.  These are values that John teaches by example every single day. This school is a big family with John Rouleau as the affable leader.  His energy, patience, love, spirit, and wisdom have shaped the school for 40 years.
