Welcome to Rock Point School

Greetings!

Rock Point School is a small, supportive, day and boarding school for teenagers in grades 9 - 12 who have found themselves off track academically and personally.  The school community is like a large family with the accompanying love and challenges. We work hard to support one and other, to gently challenge each other, and to grow.  At Rock Point School the emphasis is on the whole student to understand and embody responsibility, honesty, generosity, and respect for themselves and others.

Rock Point's core curriculum is designed to guide students to think, read, write, listen, speak, and create with increasing depth and sophistication, as well as to develop their reasoning and problem solving skills.  The school is accredited by the Vermont State Department of Education and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. 

 The residential program is designed to support, challenge, and guide students.  It is an educational experience unto itself, complementing the academic program. Life in the dorm is more relaxed and informal, but students are constantly working towards goals of improved relationships, increased responsibility, leadership, and personal development.
