Welcome Back

September 11th dawned with blue skies, sunshine and a real sense of hope for the future as the Class of 2015 arrived at Rock Point School.  They were, of course, accompanied by the members of the other classes.  Moving in was the first order of the day and more than one person was heard to complain about the inequities between the boys and girls floor stairs.  After lunch, C.J. officially began the school year with a convocation in the chapel.  (A side note:  Lonnie was discovered on Monday morning googling the word convocation to make sure that it was indeed what we were having.  It was.)  He spoke of how in order to have hope we must have a vision of where we want to go and to remember that as we go.  He made reference to winter driving in order to make his point.  It is important, when driving in the winter, to be aware of the railings and the ditches but to keep your eyes on the road.  If you concentrate on the ditch, you might end up in the ditch.  Keep your eyes on the vision of where you are going and have hope that you can get there.

Together, we will get there.  Happy 2011-2012 school year.
