An introduction to our dorm staff
Stanton Eddy - Head of the Dorm - Came to Rock Point School in 2004Before coming to Rock Point School, Stanton helped run a summer camp for people with physical and mental challenges, managed Clay & Craft Schools for the Vermont State Craft Association, and worked at a local Teen Center. He currently also works as a Case Manager, coordinating care for a local man with special needs. Stan spent his first six years at Rock Point School working as a dorm staff. In 2011, he became the Head of the Dorm. He is addicted to golf, hoops, and chess, and his dog, Kayla. He & Kayla live off campus. B.A. Psychology and Sociology, Wesleyan University |

Andrew Rowan - Residential Educator - Came to Rock Point School in 2007Andrew lives on the Boys Floor and enjoys sharing his love of sports with the students. He especially enjoys watching the Red Sox. Andrew grew up in Vermont and enjoys showing the students around his home state. He also really loves to cook at the weekends with the students and can often be found taking requests for dinner. Every year, Andrew teaches a new group of students how to crochet and wows them with his skills as a maker of hats. He has been known to go into a movie theater and come out having crocheted three hats! B.S. Political Science, Saint Michael's College |

Caroll Spelke - Residential Educator - Came to Rock Point School in 2010Caroll Spelke joins us as a first year dorm staff living on the Girls’ Floor. Before coming to Rock Point School, Caroll traveled around the world as part of her studies at the University of Vermont and developed a strong interest in globalization and issues of social and environmental justice. Caroll spent the summer of 2010 living and working on a farm in Charlotte where she was part of a team building a house out of strawbale and cob! In working at the school, she is looking forward to being part of a learning community and taking an active role in keeping it safe and welcoming. Most of all she cannot wait to share her experience as a non-traditional student and her inquisitive love for life. In her spare time Caroll loves to explore music, hike, swim, and snowboard. Claire Raudonat - Residential Educator - Came to Rock Point School in 2011
Claire came to Rock Point School after finishing a year of AmeriCorps serving at a local teen center and is really looking forward to getting to know the Rock Point community. Claire enjoys reading, trying out new gluten-free recipes and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys outdoor activities whether that be going for a walk in the woods or skiing down a mountain. She loves to share her passion for the arts with others so ask her about her travels in London while studying art history in college! BA Studio Art, University of Vermont |

Kate McKernan - Residential Educator - Came to Rock Point School in 2011Before coming to Rock Point, Kate was a middle and high school Spanish teacher, as well as a social worker and literacy educator for homeless families and migrant workers in California and Oregon. She has also taught pottery, printmaking and drawing to adults and children at a local art center. Kate is looking forward to completing her Master's degree in Education this year at St. Michael's College. She loves all forms of art and is particularly excited to have the ceramic studio up and running this year at RPS. Kate enjoys being outdoors and loves to recruit Rock Point students to run the trails around the school's property with her. B.A. Spanish, Saint Michael's College

Joe Ainsworth - Residential Educator - Came to Rock Point School in 2011Joe is a recent graduate of the University of Vermont (2011) where he spent much of his undergraduate tenure working for its New Student Orientation Program which helps first year students become better acclimated to the college environment in Burlington. Joe also has spent a significant amount of time with the DREAM program, a local non-profit mentoring organization working with underserved children in Chittenden County. When not at Rock Point School you will find Joe running/ hiking, kicking a soccer ball, practicing Yoga, or stimulating his mind playing Scrabble or Bananagrams. He hopes to one day garner up the courage to run a full marathon. Joe lives on the Boys' Floor. B.A. Psychology, University of Vermont |
